Sumi(Japanese ink)

Sumi is painting tools used in Japan for many years.

The soot which burned a pine and oil and was made is kneaded into a stiff dough with glue, and is dried. And it is rubbed and made using the inkstone with water.

Although sumi is generally called "Chinese ink", Because sumi was invented by ancient China as for the reason, and it was told from Koguryo (ancient Korea) to Japan in the second half of the sixth century. Japanese-made sumi is called Waboku(Japanese ink), Chinese-made sumi is called Touboku(Chinese ink). Waboku differs in the feature from Touboku, respectively, because a climate has a difference.

I myself am mainly making using Waboku.
