会地今昔圖によせて 

この瓦版の作品集は、大愛知なるへそ新聞紙上に同名で連載されたコーナーに使われた図版の元絵をまとめたものです。「会地今昔圖」は名古屋やその周辺の地形探索や歴史、考古学、デザインや建築等にも造詣の深い名古屋スリバチ学会の方々と、日本画家であり、瓦版·浮世絵等の作品を得意とするカリヲとのコラボレーションとして当新聞社によって企画されました。学会メンバー ら訊く愛知の昔の風景と現在の景色を、想像の中で混ぜ合わせて造られた、なるへそ新聞ならではの「今昔圖」 となっています。昔の風景の話を訊き 、現在の視点 ら過去ディティールを紡ぎ出すという作業は、 丹念なリサーチと想像の力 あってこその、口述の歴史絵図となっています。紙面サイズではなかなか見られな った細いディティールをご堪能いただければと思います。

An introduction to the Decobocological Society of Nagoya (Nagoya Suribachi Gakkai)

In 2013, the 2nd Aichi Triennale (International Arts Festival in Aichi Prefecture) was held. As one of the public programs of the Triennale, a workshop “Searching through the undulating terrain of Nagoya” was carried out. Some participants of that workshop and their fellows have been active in fieldwork since 2014. We were inspired by Mr.Norihisa Minagawa (President of the Tokyo Suribachi Gakkai) who served as the lecturer of the workshop of the Aichi Triennale, and named ourselves Nagoya Suribachi Gakkai. We are continuing fieldwork throughout the uneven topography in Nagoya and its surrounding area. 

Our fieldwork has various viewpoints across borders of diverse fields of knowledge, for example landscape, architecture, engineering works, industrial heritage, history, archaeology, design, art work, photography, on-the-street observation, modernology (Kogen-gaku) , etc. We are looking into relationships between topography and human activities from the past to the present. Our aim is to discover the uniqueness and charm of places and to share them with all the participants. 

Decoboco means uneven in Japanese. Decobocology is the activities of exploring uneven topography and discovering unique individuals and characteristics, and the charm of different locations.

<名古屋スリバチ学会について>

あいちトリエンナーレ2013のパブリックプログラムの一つとし て開催されたワークショップ「名古屋凹凸地形探索」の参加者 有志を中心として2014年から活動を開始。同ワークショップの 講師を務めた皆川典久氏が主宰する東京スリバチ学会に触発さ れて、名古屋スリバチ学会の看板を掲げ、名古屋とその周辺の 地形探索をベースとするフィールドワークを継続している。 フィールドワークでは、地形のほか、景観、建築、土木、産業 遺産、歴史、考古学、デザイン、アート、写真、路上観察、考 現学など、多様なジャンルを越境する視点によるまち歩きをし ている。過去から現在に至る人間の営みと土地や地形の関わり を探るとともに、まちの個性や魅力を参加者それぞれの眼で発 見して、それを共有することを目指している。

This work is an extra issue of "the Kisogawa Kanreki (60th birthday) newspaper".

It is an art project created and directed by artist, Ko Yamada.

I was in charge of drawing and publishing the extra issue.

It was exhibited in a memorial exhibition "The Story of 1954" associated with 60th anniversary of Minokamo municipal organization.

The extra issue, “Japan Rhine Cruise” of Kisogawa Kanreki Newspaper describes the old famous spots and how they were in old time.

The story was organized according to the interview of Mr. Kuniichi Watanabe, the former boatman of the Nihon Rhein Cruise.

美濃加茂市制60周年記念展「1954年の物語」 （美濃加茂市民ミュージアム）及び　「きそがわ日和2014」において制作・発表された、アーティスト山田亘によるワークショッププロジェクト『きそがわ還暦新聞』の号外の瓦版を手がけさせていただきました。 

　きそがわ還暦新聞は、アーティスト山田亘による新聞プロジェクトの作品で、美濃加茂市に住む方々の昔の思い出話を今あった事のように記事にしています。現地からの参加の記者数名によって取材を行っています。

　きそがわ還暦新聞　号外　瓦版『美濃加茂　日本ライン下り』は、かつて木曽川で行われていた日本ライン下りの船頭の渡辺國一さんに当時の様子や名所をインタビューし、それを新聞に書き起こしたものです。
